that I didn’t have to punish myself for the pizza last night.
The pizza did that for me, in the form of a raging stomachache all night long.
Poetic justice.
was an epic failure.
Right now I’m fighting the “old me” thoughts that are telling me that I can’t eat tomorrow. The old punishment routine that I know so well. I also considered setting the alarm for 4 am instead of 4:30 to squeeze in some shredding before work.
No. No, no, and no.
This is the new me.
And the new me doesn’t stress about one bad meal (pizza!) or the fact that I didn’t work out today. I spent the day with my sick sister, then went on a lovely pizza date with my husband. I had a great time.
The new me will think about today, consider how I could do differently next time, and move on.
I like the new me.
This week at work, no less than 5 people commented on my recent weight/inches loss. I usually don’t care about that sort of thing, but if people can tell while I’m wearing baggy scrubs, then there must be a pretty noticeable difference!
NSV for sure.
She’s a 65 lb lap dog. Worn out from todays run. On the plus size, her ass is looking fabulous! ;)
Run before doing the 30 day shred.
Otherwise approximately 10 minutes in, you will definitely run out of steam.
And then you will walk the majority of your 3 mile run.
I’m thinking I might have to try only doing the shred on work days, when I get home from work or before work. It might be a little too ambitious to think I can do both on the same day. Today was only day 1 though, so we’ll see how it goes.
Anyone else trying to do the 30ds challenge AND run? Is it working for you? And how?!
1. Be at or below 170 by January 1, 2011.
2. Run a mile in 11 minutes or less.
3. Run 3 miles in 38 minutes or less.
4. Complete the 30 day shred.
5. Continue with half marathon training, running at least 3 days a week.
6. Drink AT LEAST 2 liters of water every day.
*7 (EDIT!). Take Vitamins EVERY damn day. Not just when I feel like it. Which is pretty much never.
That’s pretty much it. :)
